First part off our MAM72-35V 5 axis machine. This part is a production part of 100 pc. Usually runs on a horizontal machining center with a 4th axis, or a 3 axis vertical in a multi-station process with about 15% fall out . This part was not cut for speed but to confirm our post processing of our CAMPlete post and our Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software. Wanted to test positional accuracy, rotation, inspection and 100% deburr on the machine, for a "no touch" outcome. We had incredible results. Post processing was exact, we did not single block but did run the first part with the rapid turned down. The first part came off the machine to spec. and from that point, the next 100 pieces were exactly as they started no offset changes needed and amazingly 0% fall out! We are holding +/.0005 on two diameters and were within .0002 total. Next time a 4 or 8 position fixture and a 50% reduction in cycle time. Watch as the pallet loads from the work station to the cutting center. This was a five station setup on the VMC (vertical machining center) then three on our HMC (horizontal machining center w/ full 4th axis) now it is one setup on our 5 axis, then we'll peal off the backside. This part is our fourth unique part, second job on the MAM. A slight improvement in or cinematic production, blending two different shots of the same part together.
